Masters Academy International Adds Kevin Graber to Baseball Coaching Staff Following Championship Career at Phillips Academy
Veteran coach led Phillips Academy Andover to five Central New England Prep championships and managed Chicago Cubs’ Double-A affiliate to the 2023 Southern League title
STOW, Mass. – March 17, 2026 – Masters Academy International (MAI) announced that Kevin Graber has joined the school as a baseball coach, bringing over 30 years of experience developing elite players and building championship-caliber programs. Graber is widely recognized for his tenure at Phillips Academy Andover, where he transformed the baseball program into one of the most successful and respected in New England. During his time leading the program, he guided Andover to five Central New England Prep championships, while mentoring generations of student-athletes who went on to compete at the collegiate and professional levels.
His success in the prep ranks earned national recognition. Graber was named Region Coach of the Year twice by both the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and the National High School Baseball Coaches Association (NHSBCA), highlighting his impact on the game and reputation as a developer of talent.
In addition to his accomplishments at the high school level, Graber has also worked in professional baseball with the Chicago Cubs organization, where he helped guide the club’s Double-A affiliate, the Tennessee Smokies, to the 2023 Southern League Championship. In 2024, he was inducted into the New York Baseball Hall of Fame.
“Kevin has spent his career building programs that compete for championships while helping young athletes grow both on and off the field,” said Peter Masters, Co-Founder of Masters Academy International. “When you combine Kevin’s experience with the leadership of our Head Coach Pat Moriarty and our Director of Baseball Operations Rich Gilbride, you begin to see the caliber of the baseball program we’re building at Masters Academy.”
“Joining Rich Gilbride and Pat Moriarty to help build the baseball program at Masters Academy is something I’m really proud to be a part of,” said Graber. “There’s a clear commitment to developing a culture where high-level athletics and academics aren’t separate goals, but part of the same path. I’m thrilled for the opportunity to help establish this program from the ground up and work with an incredible first wave of MAI student-athletes and faculty who refuse to settle in the classroom or on the playing field.
At Masters Academy International, Graber will coach alongside Gilbride and Moriarty to shape the school’s baseball program while mentoring student-athletes within MAI’s integrated model that combines elite athletics, rigorous academics and comprehensive student development. He will also serve as Senior Associate Director of Admissions, helping lead the search for top-tier student athletes and selection of MAI’s incoming classes.
In addition to his new role at Masters Academy, Graber will be the Manager for the Lowell Spinners in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League this summer.
