Boston Ballet School to provide on-campus classes and instruction for MAI figure skaters

STOW, Mass. — October 28, 2026 — Masters Academy International (MAI) today announced a new partnership with Boston Ballet School to provide specialized ballet instruction to student-athletes in MAI’s figure skating program.

Through the partnership, Boston Ballet School faculty will lead twice-weekly classes on MAI’s campus in Stow throughout the academic year. The instruction will complement the skaters’ on-ice training, with an emphasis on developing balance, body awareness, musicality and artistic expression.

“Figure skating demands off-ice specialized training, making Boston Ballet School the ideal partner for our athletes,” said Wendy Enzmann, Director of Figure Skating at Masters Academy International. “Beyond jump strength and technical ability, skaters need body awareness, musicality, and performance artistry. This partnership allows them to refine those skills with top-tier instructors and bring them directly to the ice.”

A long-time figure skating official, Enzmann understands how performance details impact evaluation. MAI’s holistic program combines high-performance training with academics and athlete well-being, seamlessly supporting skaters alongside their current coaches and clubs.

The collaboration reflects Boston Ballet School’s commitment to making high-quality dance education accessible to students with a wide range of interests, backgrounds and athletic pursuits.

“Boston Ballet School supports and develops students who are driven by many passions and motivations,” said Dave Czesniuk, Managing Director at Boston Ballet School. “We are thrilled to bring our expertise to MAI’s figure skaters as they pursue their greatest ambitions and dreams.”

The partnership comes as MAI continues to invest in its figure skating program. Led by Director of Figure Skating Wendy Enzmann, the program features an accomplished coaching staff with experience at the highest levels of international competition, including the Olympic Games. Together, they bring decades of experience training and developing skaters, from emerging talent to world-class competitors.
