Cason Hohmann
Director of Hockey Player Development
Hohmann brings a dynamic and accomplished hockey background as a Division I student-athlete, professional player, coach and player-agent. In his role, he will lead skill development, oversee player progression, and integrate advanced video analysis to elevate performance across all of MAI’s hockey teams.
A standout at Boston University Men’s Ice Hockey, Hohmann served as assistant captain during his senior season, helping lead the Terriers to a Hockey East title and the 2015 NCAA National Championship game.
Following BU, Hohmann signed a two-way AHL/NHL contract with the Rochester Americans and Buffalo Sabres, launching a seven-year professional career that spanned North America and Europe. Internationally, he competed in Slovakia’s top league, earning two championship titles. He also played professionally in Switzerland and Germany.
After retiring from professional play, Hohmann transitioned into coaching and player development, serving as Head Coach at Buckingham Browne & Nichols (BB&N) and founding Commonwealth Hockey Group, where he advises and represents aspiring hockey players navigating high school and collegiate pathways.
