Former U.S. National Champion Kassandra Carpentier Joins Masters Academy International
2015 U.S. Figure Skating Champion and former member of U.S. Figure Skating National Development Team Joins MAI’s Elite Coaching Staff
STOW, Mass. — July 1, 2026 — Masters Academy International (MAI) today announced the addition of Kassandra Carpentier as Junior Figure Skating Coach, further strengthening the Academy’s commitment to providing world-class coaching and support for aspiring figure skaters.
A former U.S. National Champion, Carpentier brings both elite competitive experience and a growing coaching background to MAI’s figure skating program.
Carpentier’s competitive accomplishments include capturing the 2015 U.S. Figure Skating Intermediate Ladies National Championship, winning gold medals at the 2015 Eastern Sectional Championships and New England Regional Championships, and earning selection to the U.S. Figure Skating National Development Team. Most recently, she represented Assumption University as a member of its collegiate figure skating team and earned the institution’s first-ever collegiate figure skating gold medal in 2025.
“Kassie’s experience as both a national champion and a coach gives her a unique perspective that will resonate with our student-athletes,” said Wendy Enzmann, Director of Figure Skating at Masters Academy International. “She understands the commitment required to pursue excellence in sport while balancing academic responsibilities, and she is deeply committed to helping athletes grow both on and off the ice.”
Carpentier began skating at just 18 months old and has spent her life immersed in the sport. Throughout her skating journey, she trained under fellow MAI coaches Geneviève Coulombe and Konstantin Kostin, providing her with a strong understanding of the program’s coaching philosophy and athlete development approach.
Currently a coach with Level Up Performance Skating, Carpentier has spent more than four years working with athletes of various ages and skill levels. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes strong technical development, performance quality, confidence-building and individualized instruction tailored to each athlete’s unique needs.
“What excites me most about joining MAI is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young athletes and be part of their growth both on and off the ice,” said Carpentier. “Athletics taught me confidence, discipline and resilience, and I am passionate about helping the next generation of student-athletes develop those same qualities while pursuing their goals.”
Carpentier earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Assumption University. In 2015, she was awarded the Key to the City of Worcester in recognition of her athletic accomplishments.
As a coach, Carpentier strives to create a positive, structured and challenging environment where athletes feel supported while continuing to push their limits. Her goal is to help every skater leave the ice feeling motivated, empowered and excited about their continued development.
The addition of Carpentier, alongside fellow Junior Coach Franz-Peter Jerosch, a former U.S. Novice Pairs Champion and seven-time U.S. Championships competitor, further strengthens MAI’s investment in assembling a world-class figure skating coaching staff. Together, they join a program led by Director Wendy Enzmann and will work alongside coaches Geneviève Coulombe, Sheryl Franks, Konstantin Kostin and special advisors Mark Mitchell and Peter Johansson.
