The Former U.S. Novice Pairs Champion Joins an Elite Figure Skating Staff at MAI

STOW, Mass. — July 1, 2026 — Masters Academy International (MAI) today announced the addition of Franz-Peter Jerosch as Junior Figure Skating Coach, further strengthening the Academy’s commitment to providing world-class coaching and support for aspiring figure skaters.

During a 16-year competitive career, Jerosch competed at seven U.S. Figure Skating Championships and captured the 2018 U.S. Novice Pairs National Championship, establishing himself as one of the nation’s top young pairs skaters.

A native of Bowdoinham, Maine, Jerosch began skating at age five. Throughout his career, he trained under some of the sport’s most respected coaches, including World Champions Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov, while also participating in camps led by internationally renowned coaches Nina Mozer, Tamara Moskvina and Rafael Arutunian.

At MAI, Jerosch will provide coaching support across the Academy’s figure skating program, helping student-athletes develop both technically and personally as they pursue excellence on and off the ice.

“Franz-Peter understands firsthand the dedication, discipline and resilience required to compete at the highest levels of figure skating,” said Wendy Enzmann, Director of Figure Skating. “His experience, combined with his passion for mentorship and development, makes him an outstanding addition to our MAI team. We are excited for our student-athletes to learn from someone who has lived the journey they aspire to pursue.”

Jerosch currently serves as a figure skating coach at Level Up and has quickly established himself as a respected instructor, helping young athletes gain confidence and improve their performance on the ice.

“MAI will have such a positive impact on athletes who want the confidence of knowing they can train at a high level while still receiving a meaningful education and being part of a classroom community,” said Jerosch. “What excites me most about coaching is helping athletes overcome fear, doubt and uncertainty. Those moments are where growth happens, both as an athlete and as a person.”

Jerosch earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Maine at Augusta. He previously served as a coach with the North Atlantic Figure Skating Club.

As a coach, Jerosch emphasizes creating an environment where athletes feel welcomed, supported and empowered to pursue ambitious goals. His coaching philosophy focuses on building strong foundational skating skills while fostering confidence, trust and long-term personal development.

The addition of Jerosch, alongside fellow Junior Coach Kassandra Carpentier, a former U.S. National Champion and member of the U.S. Figure Skating National Development Team, further strengthens MAI’s investment in assembling a world-class figure skating coaching staff. They join a program led by Director Wendy Enzmann and will work closely with fellow coaches Geneviève Coulombe, Sheryl Franks, Konstantin Kostin and special advisors Mark Mitchell and Peter Johansson.
