Patrick Moriarty
Head Coach of Varsity Baseball
With over three decades of coaching experience at the secondary and preparatory school levels, Pat Moriarty has built a reputation for developing competitive programs rooted in character, discipline, and teamwork. Currently serving as Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Deerfield Academy, he leads all aspects of the program while working closely with admissions to recruit student-athletes who align with the school’s academic and athletic values.
Under his leadership, Deerfield has ranked among the top five teams in New England in three of the last five seasons, captured the CNESPBL Championship in 2024 (ranked #1 in the region), and advanced to league finals in 2023 and 2025.
Across his career, he has guided more than 140 student-athletes to Division I, II, and III collegiate baseball programs, emphasizing long-term development both on and off the field. Previous head coaching roles at Pope Francis Preparatory School and Cathedral High School included qualifying for the Super 8 Tournament, winning sectional championships, multiple state championship runs, consistent postseason qualifications, and the advancement of players to professional baseball.
Pat’s coaching philosophy centers on accountability, sportsmanship, and fostering a positive team culture that prepares student-athletes for success beyond athletics.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teamwork is believing in something bigger than yourself. It’s putting team success ahead of individual goals. It’s trusting and respecting coaches and teammates, and holding themselves accountable. Teamwork consists of teammates willing to support one another through both successes and failures.
I define success for our program by personal, social, and player development; academic achievement, and fostering a strong team culture. I define success for our athletes on the field when they compete, give their best effort, embrace adversity, exhibit respect for our opponent and the umpires, and when we honor the game of baseball and play the game the right way – hustling on and off the field. The program's mission and success extends beyond the playing field, emphasizing the growth of the student-athlete as a whole person including citizenship and service on our campus and in our community.
Fast paced, skill driven, intense workouts designed to challenge players to find game speed and situations in practice. Practice is permanent, not perfect. The more uncomfortable players are willing to get every day in practice, the more progress they will make.
20-25 games in the fall, full winter training program in a state of the art training facility with indoor batting cages, pitching machines, Trackman, mounds, and a full diamond. 30-35 games in the spring, with a trip to Florida playing 7-8 games.
Physicality, explosiveness, mental approach, and game IQ. I envision entry level players to most likely (not definite) be grades 6-9 where I will help players adjust to playing on 90’ diamond. I envision college/prep level to be grades 10-PG, where we will showcase their talent and help connect student-athletes to coaches at the next level with the philosophy of finding the right fit at a place that will set MAI graduates up for forty years of life rather than just four years of baseball.
“Teamwork is believing in something bigger than yourself – putting team success ahead of individual goals. The program’s mission extends beyond the playing field, emphasizing the growth of the student-athlete as a whole person including citizenship and service on our campus and in our community.”
– Pat Moriarty, Head Coach of Varsity Baseball
MESSAGE TO STUDENTS AND PARENTS
As a head prep school baseball coach, I am excited to welcome you to MAI, a program that will be built on excellence and character. Our mission is to develop not only elite athletes who can compete at the highest level, but also young men of integrity who lead with purpose on and off the field.
Over the last two years at Deerfield Academy, we are a combined 31-7. Last season, we were regular season and playoff champions in the CNEPSBL – the best prep baseball league in New England, and were also ranked #2 in the New England poll. We were 6-1 in exhibition games in Florida, finished 15-4 up north (9-1 in league play – regular season champs again), ranked #4 in New England, and have made it to the championship game in three out of the last four years – which no other team in our league has accomplished. I have placed fifty-three players in college in seven short years at Deerfield – including two Cornell commits, a Richmond commit, a Tufts commit, a Bowdoin commit, a Bates commit, and a Bentley commit in the ’25 class -and over one hundred-twenty players overall including my time at my last schools (Cathedral High School/Pope Francis). We have another six commits in the ’26 class.
When you join our family, you are committing to a culture of hard work and mental toughness that will prepare you for the challenges of college baseball and beyond. I look forward to the opportunity to help you reach your full potential.

ISU (World) Judge, Technical Controller & Referee for Singles, Pairs & Synchronized Skating, including Olympic and World Championships experience
Focused on developing skaters who excel technically, socially, and emotionally during the middle school years
Bringing 50+ years of skating experience to lead MAI's comprehensive figure skating program opening in 2026
Wendy Enzmann
Director of Figure Skating
Wendy’s skating background is extensive, both as skater and as an official for US Figure Skating. She competed at the National level in singles, pairs, and synchronized skating and was an international competitor in singles and synchronized skating.
Wendy holds official appointments as an ISU (World) Judge for Singles, Pairs and Synchronized Skating. She is an ISU (World) Singles Technical Controller, an International Pairs Technical Controller, and an ISU (World) Referee. Additionally, she is a National level Technical Specialist in Singles, Pairs and Synchronized Skating, as well as a National level Data & Video Operator. Wendy is a World & International Team leader for U.S. Figure Skating and served on U.S. Figure Skating’s Board of Directors. Currently she serves in committee leadership roles within U.S Figure Skating.
Outside of skating, Wendy worked for 23 years as a lead teacher in early education and is inspired by every student’s joy when they have mastered or learned something new, have overcome or resolved a personal challenge, and have created relationships and connections with others in their community. Wendy believes that we need to give every student the ability to reach their goals by educating the whole person, in the classroom and on the ice.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teamwork is imperative for success in today’s world. Collaboration and effective communication within a team setting is essential to achieve goals. Teamwork fosters skills of interdependence and the ability for a person to manage their own work while contributing to the bigger goal. Each person in the team should have a clear understanding of their role within their team, so there is no confusion as to the responsibilities. This cooperation allows teams to function cooperatively in a timely manner.
Success can be measured in different ways. For some it is a reaching a personal milestone like landing a new jump; while for others it can be earning a degree or meeting long term goals within their field.
At MAI, a successful figure skating athlete will have the confidence to perform at their best, overcome setbacks, and together we will help them set short term as well as long term goals to measure their growth regularly for themselves.
Training sessions will include overall strength and conditioning skills in a group setting, performance training, specialty classes that enhance on ice performance as well as individual learning time focused on individual needs- such as choreography, specific jump technique training, harness lessons, etc..
Competition schedules will vary depending on each student’s individual needs and level taking into account their competitive tracks (e.g. excel track vs championship track). We will encourage our skaters to compete in the various open and qualifying competitions that U.S. Figure Skating offers.
MAI Skaters will continue to represent their home clubs or country in competition unless competing specifically in U.S. Figure Skating’s high school program representing MAI.
If needed, we will provide U.S. Figure Skating membership for any skater as an individual member or Learn to Skate USA.
The athlete pathway for figure skaters is individual. Each skater’s progress is solely dependent on skill progression, competition and test levels. The Figure Skating program at MAI will offer both on and off ice training to develop the whole athlete.
We focus on helping each skater build lifelong skills in addition to the technical skills required for competitive skating that is needed to be successful both on and off the ice. Our students will develop confidence in their ability to properly prepare to ensure consistency in their ability to perform at their best which will be helpful as they prepare for the university and college pathway.
“I’m inspired by every student’s joy when they have mastered something new, overcome a personal challenge, and created relationships and connections with others in their community.”
– Wendy Enzmann, Director of Figure Skating
COLLEGE PLACEMENT & PATHWAYS
This is not really applicable for Figure Skating. However, many figure skaters have attended or are currently attending Ivy league schools while continuing to skate competitively. For example, Nathan Chen, 2022 Olympic Men’s Champion attended Yale while also continuing to compete at the World and Olympic level. The list is extensive of elite level skaters balancing college (many Ivy League) and international competitions at the same time.
Masters Academy will help prepare athletes to have the life skills needed to transition from High School to college or other programs offered post high school.

As the founder and head coach of Level Up Performance Skating in Salem, New Hampshire, Geneviève leads a multidisciplinary team of Olympic-level coaches dedicated to developing technically skilled, mentally strong, and well-rounded athletes. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes excellence through education, discipline, and resilience—helping each skater reach their full potential both on and off the ice.
What inspires Geneviève most is seeing young athletes grow into exceptional human beings—learning dedication, perseverance, and how to turn challenges into opportunities. She believes that sport and education are deeply connected, and that the confidence, focus, and work ethic built through skating prepare students for success in every area of life. Being part of that journey and watching her athletes thrive is what fuels her passion every day.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
To me, teamwork is about connection, respect, and shared purpose. In skating—even though it’s often seen as an individual sport—success comes from the collective effort of the coaching team, training partners, and families all working toward a common goal. Teamwork means supporting each other through challenges and celebrating each other’s progress. It builds trust, humility, and belonging—qualities that help athletes thrive not only in sport but in life.
Success is not defined only by medals or rankings, but by growth, perseverance, and personal excellence. I want my athletes to feel proud of their discipline, work ethic, and ability to overcome challenges. Off the ice, success means developing confidence, kindness, and integrity—qualities that will serve them far beyond their athletic careers. My greatest reward as a coach is seeing athletes carry these values into adulthood and into everything they do.
Students can expect an environment that is supportive, structured, and inspiring. Every session is built around discipline, technical mastery, and individualized attention, balanced with positivity and encouragement. I believe in challenging athletes to step outside their comfort zone while helping them feel valued, seen, and capable. My goal is that every skater leaves practice feeling both accomplished and motivated to keep growing.
Competition in my program is viewed as both a goal and a learning opportunity. Athletes participate in local, regional, and national-level events based on their readiness and personal development plan. We prepare with intention—focusing not only on performance results but on the process, mindset, and sportsmanship that competition teaches. Every event becomes a chance to grow stronger, wiser, and more resilient.
The athlete pathway in figure skating begins with building a strong foundation in basic skills, edge quality, and coordination, before progressing into more advanced jumps, spins, and artistry. As skaters advance through U.S. Figure Skating’s test structure, they move toward competition readiness and high-performance development. My role is to guide each athlete at their own pace—whether their goal is to pass Gold Tests, compete nationally, or continue their athletic journey into collegiate or professional skating. Every step is about steady progress, balance, and self-belief.
“Success is not defined only by medals or rankings, but by growth, perseverance, and personal excellence.”
– Geneviève Coulombe, Head Coach of Figure Skating
COLLEGE PLACEMENT & PATHWAYS
In figure skating, there are no NCAA Division I or II scholarships, as the sport is not structured like traditional team athletics. However, the discipline, commitment, and excellence required at the competitive level often make figure skaters exceptionally strong candidates for top universities. Many of my athletes have gone on to study at prestigious institutions, including Ivy League and other highly selective universities across the United States and Canada. Their accomplishments on the ice—at Regional, Sectional, and National levels—combined with their academic dedication, have made them stand out in the admissions process.
Figure skating cultivates qualities that colleges value deeply: perseverance, leadership, focus, and time management. These attributes, developed through years of rigorous training, translate into success in both higher education and life. Masters Academy International will enhance this pathway by providing an environment where athletic excellence and academic rigor coexist, helping students prepare holistically for the next chapter of their journey—academically, athletically, and personally.

Jimmy Damiano
Co-Director of Golf
Jimmy Damiano was born and raised in Wareham, MA. He was fortunate to be introduced to sports at a young age and went on to play two sports in college. From the beginning, his parents emphasized that participation in sports was a privilege—earned through success in the classroom. That message shaped his priorities early on and instilled a foundation that guided him throughout his athletic and professional journey.
Jimmy’s introduction to golf began at the Kittansett Club in Marion, MA, where he held his first job in the sport. Before turning professional, he gained experience at several distinguished clubs, including Castle Pines Golf Club in Denver, CO; The Vintage Club in Palm Springs, CA; and Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, GA, home of the Masters Tournament. After turning professional in 1997, he was hired as the Assistant Golf Professional at The Nantucket Golf Club.
In 1998, Jimmy began studying under renowned golf coach Jim McLean—an experience that ignited his deep passion for coaching. Surrounded each winter in Miami by more than twenty top coaches from around the world, he immersed himself in the craft and refined his coaching philosophy. He now serves as the Director of Player Development at Salem Country Club in Peabody, MA, and maintains an extensive private clientele, traveling globally for golf instruction programs.
Still actively competing and playing professionally, Jimmy leads by example for the athletes he coaches. His first priority when working with student-athletes is understanding their performance in the classroom, emphasizing the same values that shaped his own development. He aims to instill that he will continue to check in with them regarding their progress both on and off the course for the entirety of their relationship.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teamwork is the ability to look past personal success for the greater good. It involves sacrifice and discipline. When teammates and coaches click, efficiency and effectiveness are the byproducts.
Success for my athletes is getting 1% better daily, both physically and mentally, both on and off the course. Rome was not built in a day. Success lies in the discipline to commit to doing your best each and every day even when you don’t feel like it.
My training sessions are fun, competitive and designed to accomplish several key goals. The first is to make training challenging so that the games or matches seem easier. The second is to separate the block practice versus the full process training. Block practice is working on one particular discipline for a considerable time. Full Process puts us into game mode during practice.
Competition in my program will be a daily occurrence. Students will compete against their peers at MAI in Team Training Sessions as well as competing in Junior Tournaments throughout the school year in both the North east and Florida. During the off season players will be competing on a variety of JR Golf Tours throughout the US as well as attending college showcases/camps.
Golf is a life sport and can be played from just about any age. Entry to golf is usually as an add on from another sport, which is perfect because I encourage my students to play multiple sports. Students progress by playing shorter, easier courses with fewer holes. When a student can shoot 45 or less for 9 holes on a regulation course they are prepared for 18 hole competition. Prep/College players are shooting scores in the 70’s and elite players can shoot in the 60’s.

Daniel Boisvert
Co-Director of Golf
Daniel was born and raised in Central Massachusetts, he grew up playing baseball and soccer which eventually led to playing college baseball. After 2 years of college baseball he shifted his focus to golf and moved to Hilton Head SC. He began reading about golf, studying the swing, shadowing local coaches and taking his game from mid 80s to low 70s. After helping a few friends improve their games, Dan realized he loved helping people improve their golf.
After speaking with some of his mentors he decided the best move was to continue his education with a Golf Management degree. During his time in school he played, practiced, competed to improve and learn as a player. He then strived to be a coach by volunteering for the First Tee of Savannah, helped run IGJA tournaments and began spending time shadowing coaches at Hank Haney's academy at Pinecrest. He also spent time shadowing and learning from Michel Dion, Matt Cuccaro and Doug Weaver, all nationally ranked coaches from the area.
After almost 2 years down south Daniel took his PAT (Players ability test) which he passed on his first attempt at Coastal Carolina. The same weekend he passed, he also accepted a job in Dedham Ma working alongside the top ranked coach Bill McInerney Jr. At the time the program was growing into a full development academy. Over the next 3 years the program outgrew the facility which led them to the development of a new facility.
He then moved into a new role as director of instruction where he played an integral role in the development of the business. While there Daniel spent a lot of time working with the elite program and college level players. In his time outside of the academy he works with amateur golfers, college players and professional golfers and other pro athletes. He also runs group/ corporate clinics on both full swing & short game, offers full day training and on-course lessons.
After spending the last 10 years coaching full time Daniel has decided the time was right to branch out and start his own business PIN HIGH GOLF. His new space will specialize in golf performance by creating a very high end/functional indoor training space that allows him to touch on all areas of the game and keep many of the area's best players sharp throughout the entire year. During his time coaching he has used Trackman Golf products and will continue that partnership in his new space along with many of the other best technologies in golf training.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teamwork for me is getting everyone involved on the same page working towards the same objective. It takes a village to develop an athlete from 12 years old to the college level. I believe it's critical that all parties are pushing the same message and supporting the athlete through the ups and downs of golf.
Success for me is having a student that leaves our school ready for the next chapter of life with great self belief, confidence they can overcome any objective, the discipline required to balance school and sport, and great attention to detail to help them continue to develop.
Our training sessions will be tailored to each student. However, we will all train mechanics, short game and competition in most of our opening practices. Mechanics will be where each golfer spends time working on their personalized drills and full swing goals. Short game will touch on all aspects inside 100 yards along with objectives each player must meet.
Competition time is where all our students will compete in a game or drill as a team or individually. We will also have on course training days, tournament preparation sessions, fitness sessions, mental training sessions and many others mixed into our weekly schedules to help create a well rounded golfer.
Competition against themselves or others will be a huge part of our academy. Creating a friendly competitive environment for the kids to learn and compete will be the best way to help all the kids prepare for tournament golf. We will have leader boards and other ways to track each players growth and new personal records along the journey.

Played with Worcester, Orlando, Providence, and Bridgeport professional teams
Robertson Cup champion in the NAHL
Transformed Hillside School's program to 25-4-3 record in second season

Ross Olsson
Head Coach and Recruiter of Boys' Hockey
Originally from Billerica, MA playing at Billerica High for three years and then moving to Williston Northampton School for a year. After high school he went to play in the USHL and NAHL for 2 years. After juniors he continued to play college hockey at Endicott for four years and was part of the inaugural season.
He still is the leading point scorer at Endicott. After Endicott, went on to play 4 seasons professionally in the ECHL & AHL mainly with Worcester and Orlando. In addition played with Providence and Bridgeport in the AHL.
Started coaching in the summer with Sharks Elite Hockey, a skills development that was started and growing since Senior year of college. After playing professionally he has coached at Hillside School where the program was turned around in a year going 25-4-3 in year 2 and starting with a good year 3. A big part of coaching is the ability to give back and be a role model to young players looking to reach their potential both academically and athletically.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teamwork is a big thing for me, the ability to become a cohesive team from the locker room to the gym and to the ice. Being a good teammate is something that anyone can do and there are no excuses. Being able to pick teammates up when they make a mistake is something that will not just help you now but will help you in the long term as a player and person.
Success for an athlete stems from the root. Being able to come to the rink or the gym each day and see that you have improved yourself but also being able to help your teammates grow as well. As a person or a player there is a way for a student athlete to push themselves and teammates. Being able to set goals daily, weekly, and monthly are very important. You always want to be able to set a goal or two each day you show up to the classroom, locker room, or rink to push and improve. There will be times that you fail or don't reach that goal each day but that makes you stronger. Having a growth mindset and understanding that failure opens up doors for you to mentally pick yourself up and fix what went wrong. That will then lead to more success in the long term
The big aspect for the training sessions that I run is a lot of game situational drills. A huge thing is bringing the college and pro practice tempo to Masters Academy. Having to think and make it difficult in practice so when you get to a game these situations have occurred numerous times in practices and that will lead to more success.
Being able to compete each day with your teammates is a big thing for me. Practice is a great time to push your teammates and make them better. Being able to make most games/drills a competition will make you mentally stronger.
Masters Academy Hockey program will be a gateway to the NTDP, USHL, and CHL for a good majority of the players. Being able to come and get a great education plus high end hockey with great coaches will set you up for success. The ability to be held accountable and having coaches that have played or coached at high levels will best prepare you to make the next step after MAI.
“We want players to think and move at a high pace. By making practices demanding, game situations will feel familiar, because our athletes will have already experienced them countless times in training. That preparation leads to success.”
– Ross Olsson, Head Coach and Recruiter of Boys’ Hockey
MESSAGE TO STUDENTS AND PARENTS
Coming to MAI you will be pushed to be the best version of yourself. From the rink to the gym to the classroom and the dorms. Your son will understand what it takes to reach the next level in hockey and academics. They will be pushed in practices to understand that failure will make you a stronger person and how elite athletes must have a short memory and are able to bounce back the next shift.

Director of Girls' Hockey
Jeff Pellegrini is a nationally respected hockey coach and educator with more than 15 years of NCAA coaching experience and 8 years leading elite prep school programs. His collegiate journey includes successful tenures at Harvard University, Northeastern University, and Bowdoin College—where he helped develop players who went on to compete in the NHL, PWHL, and on the international stage, including 17 Olympians.
At the prep level, Pellegrini brought his championship-caliber approach to Shattuck-St. Mary’s before becoming the Director of Hockey at The Winchendon School, where he has built one of the most respected player-development environments in New England.
Driven by a deep belief that sport and education go hand in hand, Pellegrini’s programs are built on integrity, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to growth.
His teams play with pace, passion, and purpose—and his players graduate prepared for success at the next level, both on and off the ice. Above all, Pellegrini’s greatest inspiration comes from helping young men and women discover their potential, chase their dreams, and become the kind of leaders who make a lasting impact in hockey and in life.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teamwork means putting the collective goals above individual recognition. It’s about trust, communication, and accountability—understanding that every player, regardless of role, contributes to the team’s success. True teamwork happens when athletes celebrate each other’s accomplishments, pick each other up during adversity, and commit to growing together on and off the ice.
Success is about becoming the best version of yourself every day. On the ice, it’s measured through effort, growth, and the ability to execute under pressure. Off the ice, success is reflected in character—how our athletes lead, handle challenges, and support others. Ultimately, we aim to develop confident, resilient young people who thrive in college and life beyond sport.
Players can expect high-energy, detail-oriented practices that emphasize skill development, pace, and competitiveness. Every drill has purpose—whether refining technique, improving hockey IQ, or reinforcing team concepts. We demand intensity and focus, ensuring that every practice is challenging and rooted in growth.
Our teams will compete at the highest levels of prep and Tier I AAA hockey, consistently facing the strongest programs across North America. We will play an elite schedule that includes league national showcases and premier tournaments designed to challenge our players and showcase their talent to every NCAA program in the country. Every weekend represents an opportunity to compete, grow, and prove that MAI is the nation’s best.
Our athlete pathway is intentional, challenging, and built for those who aspire to play at the highest levels. From the moment players arrive, they are immersed in a collegiate-style environment focused on skill development, hockey IQ, strength and conditioning, leadership, personal growth, and accountability. Through professional coaching, mentorship, and individualized college guidance, we will prepare every athlete to transition seamlessly from MAI to NCAA and beyond—ready to lead, compete, and excel.
“Teamwork means putting the collective goals above individual recognition. True teamwork happens when athletes celebrate each other’s accomplishments, pick each other up during adversity, and commit to growing together on and off the ice.”

Head Coach & Director of Player Personnel, Bishop Kearney Selects - 2 National Championships | 6 New York State Championships
Head Coach, Neponset Valley River Rats - 2 Massachusetts State Championships

Named Head Coach of MAl's Boys Hockey Program, Fall 2026
Ben McManama
General Manager and Head Coach of Boys' Hockey
Ben McManama grew up in Boston, where his love for sports - and especially hockey - was formed at an early age. He graduated from Noble and Greenough School, where he was a multi-sport athlete, competing in football, hockey, baseball and lacrosse. Hockey, however, was always his true passion. During his time at Nobles, Ben served as team captain, an experience that helped shape his leadership style and deep appreciation for team culture and accountability.
Ben went on to attend his dream school, Boston College, where he played at the highest collegiate level. Throughout his playing career, both at Nobles and Boston College, he had the opportunity to play for legendary coaches whose standards, attention to detail, and player-first philosophies left a lasting impact. Learning under these respected leaders helped shape the coaching strategies Ben uses today, emphasizing discipline, skill development, trust, and long-term growth.
After college, Ben played professionally before retiring in 2006. He then explored several professional paths, working various jobs and owning his own company, before returning to hockey in 2009. Ben worked with schools, youth programs and training companies before moving to Rochester to help start a hockey academy called Bishop Kearney. He is now grateful to be back home in Boston, continuing to mentor and develop young hockey players.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teamwork means that every team member subjugates their own personal goals for the good of the team. Everyone needs to accept and try to excel at their role, but it doesn't mean that they can't work harder to assume a greater role.
On the ice, success for each individual athlete is measured by improvement. The improvement can be assessed by individual skills, but also by how those skills are incorporated into the team structure. Off the ice, success needs to be evaluated by advancement in the classroom. Additionally, the student athletes have to become strong and supportive members of the community.
Training sessions will be rigorous. As Vince Lombardi said “ Fatigue makes cowards of us all”. I expect our teams to be better conditioned than any team we play. I also will make the training sessions enjoyable with emphasis on skill development at high speed.
By bringing in the best players and playing the best schedule, competition will be part of our everyday lives. Consistent competition in practice against high end players is what helps individual development.
Each athlete will be on a path to reach their goals. Each path will be different but I will work with each individual to get them to the next step in their hockey and academic careers.
“We will work hard every day, push each other, and embrace challenges together. It will be demanding, but it will also be a lot of fun. Each player will grow significantly as a hockey player while also developing important life skills, discipline, confidence, and character that extends far beyond the rink.”

Developed 13 NHL players and 200+ Division I commits
Led teams to 9 EHF championships
21 players selected for USA Hockey National Development Camp in Summer 2025
Mike Anderson
Director of Boys’ Hockey
Mike grew up in Springfield, MA, where he played his youth hockey for the Springfield Pics. He attended the Westminster School from 1993 to 1995 before returning home in 1996 to play junior hockey locally. He committed to UCONN and played college hockey there from 1997 to 2001, winning a conference championship in 2000 and serving as team captain in 2001. After college, he spent a year playing minor professional hockey in Michigan before transitioning into a career in finance while continuing to work in hockey part time.
In 2006, Mike joined the Boston Junior Bruins full time and began coaching junior hockey. From 2006 to 2021, the teams he coached produced more than 200 NCAA Division I–committed players, 13 of whom went on to play in the NHL.
Mike currently coaches the 15U and 13U teams with the Minuteman Flames (EHF) in Marlboro, MA. Both teams recently qualified for and competed in the International Pee Wee Quebec Tournament. His 15U group has ranked among the top three teams in the country for the past six years. This summer, 21 of his current or former players were selected to attend USA Hockey’s National Development Camp.
Coaching has always been Mike’s passion. He considers it an honor to work with talented and dedicated young student-athletes during such pivotal stages of their development. To Mike, being a great coach means meeting players where they are, understanding and caring about them on a personal level, and investing in what matters most to them. He strives to create a culture where players trust their teammates and coaches and buy in organically because they love the grind and the pursuit of their passion—not because they feel obligated. He is committed to helping athletes see a path toward their goals and supporting them through every high and low along the way.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Being 100% committed to an objective for the benefit of the team. Be someone teammates want to be like. Embracing a role that helps the team even if not’s the one you envisioned for yourself and understanding that doing a great job with that role can and often times does lead you back to the role you wanted all along.
Every players starting point is different yet most young athletes all have the same couple goals. Play in the NHL, play Division I. Success for me is getting them to go from those 30,000 feet goals to in the moment tangible goals that put them on a path to getting the most out of their natural born abilities. Develop habits. Be consistent and committed to working at the little things everyday.
Accountability and information. Learn the when and why of the skills you’re working on developing. Being a smart hockey player, being a hockey player that has a consistent identity and understands how to mentally process information at a high level. These are translatable skills that they will absolutely have to have as they move up levels and they need to be instilled, coached and repeatedly worked on at younger ages.
I believe in constantly finding challenging and adverse situations because that’s where growth and development opportunities live. So, we intend to play a challenging schedule that both showcase our athletes to the folks who will be evaluating them at higher levels and pushes them outside their comfort zones so they continue to focus on getting a little bit better and improving their details.
In our current landscape as you approach your 15u year you need to be working on your cognitive skills, honing in details such as proper compete level, learning what it means to be selfless and buy into the process of committing to your personal development. When 15u year rolls around the eyes on you increase and we want our players ready to be at their best. Development never stops. Teaching, coaching, encouraging never stops. Those skills are worked on every day. Make sure in all of this we remember to stop and enjoy it. You only go on this journey once. Committing to something, setting a goal and chasing it doesn’t mean you can’t have fun along the way.
“Being a great coach means reaching players where they are, being willing to understand and care about them on a personal level, and buying into what matters most to them.”

His strong play, over his young career, earned him spots on the USA Select 17 team winning a Gold Medal at the 2002 IIHF 4 Nations; as well as his with the U.S. National Team Development Program, where he represented his country at the 2004 U18 World Championships, helping Team USA capture a silver medal.
From 2005 to 2009, Bevis played Division I hockey at the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) in the competitive Hockey East conference. In 2007, Bevis helped guide the Minutemen to their first ever NCAA Tournament and advancing to the Elite 8. His collegiate career was marked by leadership, work ethic, and a deep understanding of player development—traits that would later define his coaching and program-building career.
In 2012, Bevis helped create the Junior Bruins 16U Full Season Team, establishing a model for elite player development within the program. Under his guidance, the Junior Bruins advanced to the USA Hockey National Tournament in 2022, solidifying their reputation as one of the premier programs in the country and developing dozens of D1 and professional players during his time. The last 5 years, Bevis has also helped the Junior Bruins Brick Team at the prestigious Brick Invitational Tournament in Edmonton, Alberta.
Beyond the rink, Bevis spent 8 years at The Fenn School, where he served as Associate Director of Athletics, helping to shape young student-athletes through education, mentorship, and sport.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teamwork means putting the collective goals ahead of individual accomplishments. It’s about trust, accountability, and communication — knowing that every player, coach, and staff member contributes to the group’s success. True teamwork creates an environment where athletes push each other to improve, celebrate shared achievements, and learn how to handle challenges together both on and off the ice.
Success isn’t measured solely by wins or statistics. For me, it’s about athletes reaching their potential, developing confidence, and learning the discipline and habits that lead to long-term growth. Off the ice, success is reflected in how they carry themselves — their integrity, work ethic, and ability to lead and support others.
Athletes can expect high-energy, detail-oriented sessions that emphasize skill development, pace, and decision-making. Every drill has purpose — designed to challenge players both technically and mentally. My goal is to create a competitive, fun environment where players are pushed outside their comfort zones and leave the rink each day a little better than when they arrived.
Our program competes at the highest level available for each age group. Players are exposed to elite competition through a mix of league play, national showcases, and major tournaments across North America. We believe that testing yourself against top opponents is the best way to measure growth and prepare for the next level.
Athletes typically begin at the local or regional level before advancing to elite development programs like the Junior Bruins. From there, players have opportunities to move on to prep schools, junior programs, and eventually college hockey. Our mission is to provide a clear and supportive pathway — helping every athlete find the right environment to reach their goals on and off the ice.
“Off the ice, success is reflected in how they carry themselves – their integrity, work ethic, and ability to lead and support others.”

Abbey Capobianco
Head Coach of Girls’ Lacrosse
Sports have been a major influence throughout Abbey’s life. Growing up as a multi-sport athlete, she competed in Soccer, Ice Hockey, and upon reaching high school, Lacrosse.
She enjoyed a successful playing career in all three sports and was inducted into the inaugural Framingham High School Hall of Fame in 2019. Abbey began her collegiate career as a dual-sport athlete at Central Connecticut State University, playing both soccer and lacrosse, before finishing at UMass Amherst. Always a student of the game, she took every opportunity to learn and grow in her sport.
Abbey began coaching while still in college and never stopped. Following graduation, she was named the first assistant at Bentley University and, the next season, head coach at Assumption University. She spent ten years coaching in Worcester, followed by one season at Holy Cross. Throughout her college-coaching career, she also served as recruiting coordinator and coach with Boston Laxachusetts, where she is now a Director.
In 2017, Abbey was named head coach of the Boston Storm in the UWLX, the first women’s professional lacrosse league, and led the team to a championship in 2018. Her passion on and off the field, along with her deep love for lacrosse, drives her to be better every day for her coaching colleagues and players.
Abbey considers herself fortunate to have a career she truly loves. She is a players-first coach who is ready to do whatever is needed to better the team, leading with high energy, passion, joy, grit, and a team-first philosophy.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Trust. Building an environment where players feel comfortable to be themselves, confident to challenge one another, but ultimately sacrifice whatever is needed for the team to be successful.
Happiness and purpose beyond the success on the field. Chasing their dreams, and guiding them to the best of my ability. Tough conversations where we will grow and get better! Ultimately, if players are willing to be all in and give 100% at both we will find success!
What players put in is what they will get out. High intensity, lots of competition, hopefully lots of joy, and will challenge players to get out of their comfort zones so we can be the best version of ourselves on and off the field. We will work hard to identify strengths and weaknesses to improve all over the field. Failure is forward.
Spring term will be our traditional playing season consisting of mid-week games starting in March. Additionally, there will be a pre-season trip and a mid season trip for competition and training. Fall term will consist of a non-traditional playing season focused on training, development on and off the field team building and preparation for the spring season. Training sessions will vary from 60-120 minutes pending time of year and what the team needs. We will look to build a highly competitive spring season of about 14 games, with 1-2 trips in the February-May time frame.
Our girls lacrosse pathway is built on developing the whole student-athlete—skill, mindset, character, and academic readiness. Players begin by mastering fundamental stickwork and decision-making, then progress into competitive regional and national play where exposure and college recruitment naturally become part of their journey. Through strong mentorship, academic support, and a consistent, positive performance environment, our athletes are fully prepared to succeed at top college programs and to thrive as confident young women beyond the sport.
“With the support system and resources at Masters Academy International, we’ll help our student-athletes dream big without restrictions.”

Stephanie Demake
Head Coach of Girls Soccer
A former collegiate student-athlete at the NCAA Division I (University of Hartford) and Division III levels (Worcester State University), winning two conference titles, two all-conference first team nods, and served as co-captain.
Upon completing undergraduate degree, began my coaching career as an assistant coach at Wheaton College (MA) and then, a graduate assistant coach at Ohio University, earning a Masters Degree in Sport Education in 2013.
From there, served as the first assistant at the following Division I programs: Stetson University, Troy University, and Davidson College. Spent 4 years as a head coach at Division II Post University (CT) and then the last 3 years as an assistant coach at Power 4 program, Boston College.
What inspires Stephanie's approach to sport and education is the opportunity to foster an environment that develops high-achieving scholar-athletes who, through their experience with our program, are prepared to excel in the next phase of their lives, both athletically and academically.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teamwork is fundamental to the identity of our program. Teamwork isn’t just a buzz word but is on display in our daily actions. The ways in which we train and compete as well as the ways in which we collaborate, support, and celebrate our teammates are all a reflection of our commitment to team above self.
Success begins with having an appreciation and respect for hard work - the commitment of time and energy put forth to train, study, and prepare for the big moments. Commitment to the process first and foremost makes our successes more meaningful and will instill the life skills required for success beyond MAI.
Students can expect a player-centred approach to training and a training environment that is competitive, demanding, and positive. Along with team training, players and coaches will work together on IDPs (individual development plans) which can include: short-term goal setting, 1-on-1 training, reviewing performance data and game/training film, and studying collegiate/professional players and teams.
The pathway begins with grassroots youth soccer, followed by significant time in a developmental environment that ideally is structured, highly competitive, and offers some level of exposure to the college level. As players reach sophomore/junior year, their college recruitment process begins, culminating in college placement.

Colin Cramer
Director of Goalkeepers & Middle School Soccer, Assistant Upper School Soccer Coach
As an athlete turned coach, Colin Cramer’s journey in the world of sports began at a young age, driven by a passion to be the ultimate team player on every team he joined. His dedication and unselfishness ultimately led him to play collegiate soccer at Denison University as a goalkeeper.
After graduating from Denison, Colin transitioned into coaching, working with athletes ages 8 to 18 across several soccer organizations, including FC Greater Boston Bolts, GPS, Becoming Elite, and Seacoast United. While coaching at the club level, he also worked with high school prep programs such as New Hampton School and Thayer Academy, focusing not only on athletic performance but also on the holistic development of student-athletes. During this time, he earned his Master’s in Sports Leadership from Northeastern University. Most recently, he spent two years as the Head Varsity Soccer Coach at Lawrence Academy from 2024 to 2025.
Colin’s coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that sports are powerful tools for personal growth, building both character and community. His primary goal is to help every athlete understand that they are a leader both on and off the field. To cultivate this mindset, he emphasizes that leadership emerges from the unique strengths each individual brings. He reinforces that leadership is not defined by titles or formal roles—it is a mindset and a set of behaviors that can be cultivated in everyone.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teamwork, to me, signifies the collaborative effort of a group of individuals working together towards a common goal. It involves combining diverse skills, perspectives, and experiences to enhance problem-solving and productivity. Effective teamwork is characterized by open communication, mutual respect, shared responsibilities, and the ability to bridge differences for a cohesive effort. In sum, teamwork maximizes the potential of each member while promoting a supportive and motivating environment.
Success for my athletes means developing their personal character while maintaining the balance of achieving our team goals. To build their character, you have to let your players be who they are and understand what strengths they derive from their personality/uniqueness.
The significance of players being truly themselves and successfully embracing who they are as individuals within the soccer context goes far beyond simply participating in the sport. It's about fostering an environment that promotes personal growth, enhances performance, and ultimately contributes to overall well-being that both helps the team and individual.
In summary, confirming that your players are truly themselves and successfully embracing who they are as a person isn't just a matter of psychological well-being, but also a crucial factor in fostering peak performance, building a strong team culture, and promoting overall personal growth and fulfillment. This comprehensive understanding provides a more meaningful perspective on what it means to be successful both in the pursuit of sport and as an individual in society.
When I coach student-athletes, I make sure my training sessions are both fun and mentally exhausting while maintaining a strong level of personalized support from myself. An enjoyable and engaging atmosphere is essential for anyone to learn, especially kids.
My training sessions will often include fun games and activities that promote love for the game. While playing these fun games, players will also focus on the mental aspects of the game, including focus, motivation, and dealing with pressure as being the best player you can be is mostly mental. Within all of this, I make sure to tailor guidance that addresses both individual learning needs and team goals.
Competition in our soccer program is multi-faceted, consisting of a blend of regular season play, practice, tournaments, showcases, and various leagues. This continual structure allows for both competitive experiences and opportunities for player growth and development.
While playing in these events, we have to emphasize and demonstrate how team members should balance individual aspirations with the overall objectives of the team. When shared goals are emphasized, competition becomes a tool for collaboration rather than rivalry.
The soccer athlete pathway progresses from recreational youth leagues to more competitive club soccer, then to school teams, and then to elite academies, ultimately leading to college or professional opportunities. Within this framework, the key steps include skill development and getting your kids to get maximum exposure through a plethora of events such as showcases and tournaments.
“Success for my athletes means developing their personal character while maintaining the balance of achieving our team goals. To build their character, you have to let your players be who they are and understand what strengths they derive from their personality and uniqueness.”

COLLEGE PLACEMENT & PATHWAYS
Oberlin College, Wheaton College, Tufts University, Wesleyan University, Denison University, Amherst College, Indiana University, Duke University, American University, Clemson University, Army, and IFG Macclesfield FC (Professional Soccer Club in England).
By addressing both academic and athletic aspects, as well as personal development, Masters Academy can create a holistic environment that prepares student-athletes for the challenges they will face in college.
– Colin Cramer, Director of Goalkeepers & Middle School Soccer, Assistant Upper School Soccer Coach

COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teamwork is the foundation of every successful program. To me, it means players learning to trust, respect, and elevate one another understanding that collective success always outweighs individual accolades. A great team is built on shared accountability, communication, and the willingness to work for something bigger than oneself.
Success isn’t defined solely by wins or championships, but by growth, discipline, and character. On the field, it’s about competing with purpose and improving every day. Off the field, it’s developing habits, leadership, and maturity that prepare them for college, career, and life beyond the game.
Players can expect a professional, high-energy environment that challenges them technically, tactically, and mentally. Every session has a clear focus, game-realistic tempo, and an emphasis on decision-making. I believe in creating sessions that are competitive yet supportive, where players are encouraged to think, take risks, and play with confidence.
Competition is structured to mirror the college and professional environments our players aspire to. We compete in high level prep school league and select showcases locally and nationally , complemented by matches against strong regional and national opponents. The goal is consistent, meaningful competition that drives development and exposes players to the standards expected at the next level.
Our pathway is built on development, exposure, and progression. Players begin by mastering technical and tactical fundamentals, then transition into competitive regional and national play where college recruitment becomes a focus. Through mentorship, academic guidance, and consistent performance environments, our athletes are fully prepared to succeed at top college programs and beyond.
Middle School (Grades 6–8)
A dedicated staff coach will lead our Middle School program, working closely with me to design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Together, we’ll focus on building a strong technical foundation, fostering creativity, and instilling a love for the game. Training emphasizes enjoyment, teamwork, and confidence while introducing players to the habits and mindset needed for long-term growth within the Masters Academy pathway.
Upper School (Grades 9–12)
As athletes progress into high school, training becomes more tactical, position-specific, and physically demanding. We emphasize understanding the game at a deeper level—developing leaders who can think and adapt under pressure. While competition and performance become central, we also reinforce time management, accountability, and communication to ensure academic success and personal growth remain priorities alongside athletic excellence.
College Prep / Elite Athletes
For advanced players, our focus shifts to exposure, performance consistency, and professional preparation. We provide opportunities through elite showcases, college ID events, and national-level tournaments to connect players with college coaches and programs that fit their goals. Athletes receive individualized guidance through every step of the college recruitment and scholarship process, supported by mentorship, video analysis, and direct communication with college networks built over decades of experience.
“Our mission is simple to help every player reach their full potentional, on and off the field. We’re building a program that challenges atheletes to compete with passion, train with purpose, and lead with integrity.”
– James Proctor, Director of Men’s Soccer
