Masters Academy International Announce Stephanie Boulay
Veteran enrollment leader and Division I athlete to lead admissions strategy for MAI’s next-generation student-athlete model
STOW, Mass. — May 31, 2026 — Masters Academy International (MAI) today announced the appointment of Stephanie Boulay as Director of Admission. A seasoned enrollment strategist and former Division I athlete, Boulay will lead MAI’s admissions strategy, overseeing the full enrollment lifecycle while building a mission-aligned community of student-athletes committed to both academic excellence and elite performance.
Boulay joins MAI with decades of experience in admissions and financial aid leadership across top independent schools in the Northeast. Most recently, she served as Director of Financial Aid and Assistant Girls Varsity Ice Hockey Coach at Noble & Greenough School, where she managed a $9.2 million financial aid budget, partnered with senior leadership on long-term financial strategy, and led initiatives to improve access, transparency, and efficiency in the admissions process.
“Stephanie brings a rare and powerful combination of admissions expertise and firsthand experience as a high-level athlete,” said Andy Williams, Head of School. “Her ability to guide families through the admissions process while identifying students who align with our model will be critical to building a community here at MAI that reflects our commitment to excellence without compromise.”
Throughout her career, Boulay has held key leadership roles at Darrow School and Vermont Academy, where she combined admissions leadership with coaching responsibilities, helping to develop student-athletes who went on to compete at top Division I and Division III programs. She has also been recognized as a rising leader in enrollment management, including selection to the Enrollment Management Association’s Future Leaders Program.
In addition to her admissions leadership, Boulay brings extensive coaching experience, having spent 10 seasons coaching at two of New England’s top girls’ hockey programs, 7 at Noble & Greenough School and 3 at Vermont Academy. She is a USA Hockey Level 4 official and has contributed to multiple championship-winning teams, including ISL and New England Elite 8 titles.
“MAI represents a truly unique opportunity to build something new and different,” said Boulay. “This model—where high-level athletics and rigorous academics are fully aligned—is exactly what many families have been seeking. I’m excited to work closely with families and students to help them find a place where they can thrive, be challenged, and reach their full potential.”
Boulay holds a Master of Arts from Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Sacred Heart University. Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, she now resides in the Northeast with her family.
