Masters Academy International Names Daniel Boisvert Co-Director of Golf

Coach who developed 13 Massachusetts Players of the Year and over 150 college golfers to lead program alongside Jimmy Damiano

STOW, MA. – Masters Academy International (MAI) today announced Daniel Boisvert as Co Director of Golf, who will lead the academy’s comprehensive golf program alongside Jimmy Damiano. Boisvert, whose students have won state amateur championships in four states and competed in PGA Tour events, brings a proven track record of developing championship-caliber players when the academy opens in September 2026.

“Daniel and Jimmy together create an exceptional leadership team for our golf program,” said Peter Masters, Co-Founder and Director of Athletics at MAI. “Daniel’s exceptional ability to take golfers from where they are to where they want to be—whether that’s an Ivy, NESCAC, or the PGA Tour combined with his commitment to individualized development, makes this partnership ideal for our student-athletes.”

Boisvert brings a unique perspective to golf instruction, having transitioned from college baseball to become one of New England’s most successful golf coaches. After transforming his own game from the mid-80s to low 70s through dedicated study and mentorship, he spent ten years as a full-time coach, working alongside nationally-ranked instructors and helping build one of the region’s premier development academies. He recently launched PIN HIGH GOLF, a state-of-the-art indoor training facility featuring Trackman and other leading technologies.

“Success for me is having a student that leaves our school ready for the next chapter of life with great self-belief, confidence they can overcome any objective, the discipline required to balance school and sport, and great attention to detail to help them continue to develop,” said Boisvert.

His results speak volumes: over 150 students have gone on to play college golf at schools including Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, Duke, UCLA, and Northwestern. Thirteen of his students have been named Massachusetts Player of the Year, and his athletes have captured hundreds of tournament wins across Challenge Cup, AJGA, Mass Golf, and Hurricane Tour events. In 2021, he was recognized as a GRAA Top 100 Grow the Game Golf Coach.

“Golf is not a team sport, although we will train as a team—each player will have individual goals and objectives,” Boisvert explained. “It takes a village to develop an athlete from 12 years old to the college level. I believe it’s critical that all parties are pushing the same message and supporting the athlete through the ups and downs of golf.”

Under the leadership of Boisvert and Damiano, the golf program at MAI will feature personalized training routines targeting each player’s areas of growth through comprehensive stat tracking. Training sessions will include mechanics work, short game development, competitive drills, on-course training, tournament preparation, fitness, and mental training—all designed to create well-rounded golfers prepared for collegiate competition.

“Golf coaches do not get passes through admissions, so grades must be competitive based on your target colleges,” Boisvert noted. “This is not SEC football—we’re developing the complete student-athlete.”
