Masters Academy International Names Rodney Hill as Head Coach of Girls Basketball
Former Auburn assistant coach with stops at Texas A&M, TCU and WNBA’s Dallas Wings joins MAI
STOW, Mass. – March 18, 2026 – Masters Academy International (MAI) announced Rodney Hill, a coach with experience across the SEC, Big 12 and WNBA, as Head Coach of Girls Basketball.
Hill arrives at MAI following his role as an assistant coach at Auburn University, where he was part of the Tigers’ women’s basketball staff. Prior to Auburn, Hill spent two seasons at Texas A&M, his alma mater, where he helped lead the Aggies to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2021 and contributed to a 10-win improvement during his first season. Throughout his career, he has coached 15 NCAA Division I All-Conference players.
Before Texas A&M, Hill served as an assistant coach at TCU and previously led SA Finest as head coach, guiding his 17U team to a 3SSB national championship in 2021.
Hill’s background also includes experience at the professional level, serving as basketball operations manager for the WNBA’s Dallas Wings.
“Rodney Hill brings a dynamic combination of high-level college experience, player development expertise, and a deep understanding of what it takes to build a successful program,” said Peter Masters, Co-Founder of Masters Academy International. “He has worked with elite players at every stage of their development and has consistently demonstrated an ability to connect, mentor and elevate those around him.”
Hill said the opportunity to help student-athletes grow on and off the court was one he couldn’t pass up.
“Masters Academy International represents a powerful combination of academics, leadership, and elite basketball development,” said Hill. “I’m excited to work alongside such an incredible staff to build an environment where student-athletes are challenged through hard work, preparation, and competition. While our goal is to win basketball games and compete for national championships, our true focus at MAI is helping each student-athlete develop the habits and character that lead to success on and off the court.”
A graduate of Texas A&M, Hill earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology in 2014.
